【原文】

子食於有喪者之側，未嘗飽也。子於是日哭，則不歌。

【英文】

When eating in the presence of one who had been bereaved, the Master never ate his fill.

On a day he had wept, the Master did not sing.

【翻譯】

孔子在家有喪事的人旁邊吃飯，從來沒有吃飽過。在這天弔喪哭了，就不再唱歌。

【主旨】人自身三個方面，孔子情感之真誠。
