【原文】

子曰：「晉文公（1）譎（2）而不正（3）；齊桓公（4）正而不譎。」

【英文】

The Master said, “Duke Wen of Jin was crafty and lacked integrity. Duke Huan of Qi, on the other hand, had integrity and was not crafty.”

【注釋】

（1）晉文公，名重耳。

（2）譎，詭詐。

（3）正，仗義執言。

（4）齊桓公，名小白。

【翻譯】

孔子說：「晉文公詭詐而不仗正義；齊桓公仗正義而不詭詐。」

【主旨】論晉文公與齊桓公二霸之事。
