【原文】
子曰：「君子恥其言而（1）過其行。」
【英文】
The Master said, “The gentleman is ashamed when the words he utters outstrip his deeds.”
【注釋】
（1）而，之也。
【翻譯】
孔子說：「君子以他的言語超過的行為為可恥。」
【主旨】勉人言行相副。
