【原文】

齊景公有馬千駟（1），死之日，民無德而稱焉；伯夷、叔齊餓於首陽（2）之下，民到于今稱之。其斯之謂與？

【英文】

Duke Jing of Qi had a thousand teams of four horses each, but on his death the common people were unable to find anything for which to praise him, whereas Bo Yi and Shu Qi starved under Mount Shou Yang and yet to this day the common people still sing their praises. This is probably what is meant.

【注釋】

（1）駟，四匹馬。

（2）首陽，山名。

【翻譯】

齊景公有四千匹馬，到他死的時候，人民對他沒有什麼可以稱道。伯夷、叔齊餓死在首陽山下，人民到現在還在稱道他們。就是這個意思吧？

【主旨】貴德。
