子曰：「君子不重（1），則不威（2）；學則不固（3）。主忠信（4）。無友不如己者（5）。過，則勿憚（6）改。」
【英文】
The Master said, “A gentleman who lacks gravity does not inspireawe. A gentleman who studies is unlikely to be inflexible. Make it your guiding principle to do your best for others and to be trustworthy in what you say. Do not accept as friend anyone who is not as good as you. When you make a mistake, do not be afraid of mending your ways.”
【翻譯】
孔子說：「君子不庄重就沒有威嚴，學習也不能鞏固。要堅持忠誠和信用，不要和不如自己的人交朋友。有了過錯要不怕改正。」
