【原文】

子貢問君子。子曰：「先行其言（1），而後從之（2）。」

【英文】

Zi-gong asked about the gentleman.The Master said, “He puts into effect his words before allowing them to follow the deed.”

【注釋】

（1）先行其言，行於未言之前。

（2）而後從之，言之於已行之後。

【翻譯】

子貢問孔子如何才算是君子？孔子回答：「凡事當做者, 先做，先行後言。」

【主旨】自己作為一真實的人時之道理，人真實之行為。
