【原文】

子曰：「君子之於天下也，無適（1）也，無莫（2）也，義（3）之於比（4）。」

【英文】

The Master said, “In his dealings with the world, the gentleman is not invariably for or against anything. He is on the side of what is moral.”

【注釋】

（1）適，可，專主。

（2）莫，不可，不肯。

（3）義，合理，洽當。

（4）比，依從。

【翻譯】

孔子說：「君子對于天下的事情，無可無不可，只要是符合正義的就行。」 
【主旨】君子與其存在，君子面對自己之存在與成就，君子與居處去向。
